Christina Outlay is an instructor of management information systems at DePaul University. She earned her Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from University of Illinois at Chicago. She also earned an M.S. in Information Systems and a B.A. in Psychology, both from DePaul University. She is the recipient of the CIC/GE Pre-doctoral Fellowship, UIC Abraham Lincoln Fellowship, and is a UIC Liautaud Scholar. Her research interests focus on issues IS personnel face in the global work environment, most prominently, IS outsourcing and IS organizational restructuring. She is also interested in legal and social issues of IT, technology-mediated learning, and open source.
Christina's work has been published in the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS), Academy of Management (AoM), and America's Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS). She's also participated in two doctoral consortiums - Computer Personnel Research (CPR) and International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS). Christina is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery, Upsilon Pi Epsilon Honor Society, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., Black Data Processing Associates and The PhD Project.
Christina has prior experience as a Program Manager at Allstate Insurance Company, as well as project management and IT experience with Apartments.com, State Farm Insurance, the United States Naval Reserve, and DePaul University. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a formally trained meeting facilitator. From her years as an IT professional, she has developed the following corporate skills: project management, portfolio management, program management, software development, IT infrastructure, ITIL, COBIT, and Sarbanes-Oxley.
